Mooi pronounced /moːi̯/ in Dutch. This word has the meaning of pretty/beautiful. The word can be used to describe many things like pastries, music, the weather and people. Mooi operates under the lead of Gail Ho and her team, creating seasonal inspired pastries and fresh bakes. Our pastry chef, Gail Ho, is born and raised in the Netherlands. After studying Industrial Design Engineering, she went to Paris to study Pastry at L’école Ferrandi. Over the past years she has worked in Michelin star restaurants and 5* hotels in France, Australia and Seychelles before coming to Singapore to join Meta Restaurant as the head pastry chef. After 3 years in Singapore, the time has come to open her own venture with Tan Ken Loon, Pâtisserie Mooi. Alongside pastries we are serving specially sourced coffee beans from Milton Coffee Roasters in Japan and soon open-faced sandwiches for the lunch crowd. As part of the Kelly group, Mooi has 5 sister restaurants which are Naked Finn, Burger Labo, 2280, Magic Square and Sushi Ashino.
